Books with two authors

Below you will find guidance and examples of how to set out a reference to a book with two authors in the body of your work and in the reference list at the end.

In text citations

If there are two authors of a work, both should be cited.

Example:

McMillan and Weyers (2011) state that...
OR
...(McMillan & Weyers, 2011).

Note: Link the two authors’ names with and when cited outside parentheses. Link with an ampersand (&) inside parentheses. 

Reference list

Last name, Initial(s)., & Last name, initial(s). (Year). Title (ed.). Publisher. DOI (if available)

Example:
McMillan, K., & Weyers, J. D. B. (2011). How to write essays & assignments (2nd ed.). Pearson.
