Thank you!
Library and IT Services have worked really hard to operate and enable access to our services with the health and safety of students and staff as our top priority. Although this has meant we have had to reduce service hours, particularly for study space access, we have also done our utmost to improve and increase availability of online services. Thank you for your patience and understanding. As always, we really value your feedback. Comments and suggestions for service provision and improvements are always welcome. Please share them with us:

What Library and IT support services are currently available?
We encourage students and colleagues to access resources and support services electronically wherever possible. Our online Library guide is available and provides information on accessing electronic resources and about accessing support from Customer Services and Subject Librarians. Information on accessing IT support from the Customer Service Team is available on our Help and Support page.
Request & Collect
If there is no alternative and a print resource is required, you can use our Request & Collect Service to request an item from the Library Catalogue and collect it from the Library of your choice. Recalls have now been switched off so that users will not need to worry about returning requested items over the vacation period. Check the Opening Hours pages for up-to-date details of each Library.
Bookable study spaces
Bookings are required to use PC workstations and study spaces at Bay Campus and Singleton Park Libraries. Full details and a link to the booking page are available on the Book a Library/Study Space page.
ID card collection
You can collect ID cards from Information Desks at Bay and Singleton Park Libraries, according to where your course of study is based if you are a student. If you are not attending Campus presently to work or study, please avoid visiting to collect a card.
Document Supply/Scanning Services
Full service details are available in the Document Supply Library Guide. The service will be available until 23rd December and closed from 24th December until 4th January, re-opening on 5th January.
Transcription Centre
The Transcription Centre will be open to students requiring accessible formats as normal until 21st December. The Centre itself will be closed from 22nd December until 4th January but braille@swansea.ac.uk will be monitored should students with print impairments have urgent requests.
Loan laptops
Laptop loans are available from Bay and Singleton Park Libraries. We are working with College colleagues to prioritise students who have financial hardship or other extenuating circumstances. Please contact your College Student Engagement or Admin teams to request a loan in the first instance. They will verify need and liaise with Library staff. Seventy-two new self-service lockers have recently been installed at Bay and Singleton Park Libraries and self-service laptop loans will be available from January.
Remote access to University PCs
Students now have access to over 2000 University PCs remotely. Full details and instructions for connecting are available on the remote PC access service page.
What will be available over Christmas?
Services will be open as above until 23rd December. During the Christmas/New Year’s period (24th December until 4th January), Bay Campus and Singleton Park Libraries will be open for booked study spaces. You will be able to place and collect requests but processing may be delayed so please do not visit the Library until you have received an email notification that your item is available. Online support from Customer Services and Librarians will also be available. Hours are:
