We are running a new scheme until the end of term called Library Skills Hours. Similar to how your personal mentors and lecturers have office hours, a Senior Library Officer will be available at set times for you to drop in either in-person or over Zoom to pick their brains.
We’re excited to help students in a face-to-face capacity whilst also being able to connect with you online wherever you are at the time.
Whether you are an individual with an enquiry, or a group of course mates with similar questions, our library officers’ two-hour sessions can help you with:
- Literature searching
- Evaluating sources
- Finding specialist information
- Referencing
- and more
Where some enquiries don’t require a full appointment, this allows you the opportunity to get a quick answer from your subject specialists, with no booking required.
Our Office Hours will be:
- Mondays 10.00-12.00, Interview Room 4, Bay Library and via Zoom
- Thursdays 10.00-12.00, Interview Room 1, Singleton Park Library and via Zoom
The Zoom link to these sessions will remain the same all term so if you’d like to join a session, connect with us here. Alternatively, the meeting details are below:
Meeting ID: 924 1150 1296
Passcode: 084479
When you join the call, you may be placed in a waiting room while a library officer is helping another student. If that happens, we thank you for your patience.
