Swansea University UKRI Long Form Publications
Funding for long-form publications is available and information on the process for cost recharge will be available on this site shortly. Funding applications are only accepted from staff responsible for open access funding in UK-based research organisations. Please email if you need to discuss a Stage 1 application.
The Stage 2 application will be completed by the Open Access team on your behalf.
If you are publishing a monograph, book chapter or edited collection on or after 1 January 2024, you must follow the UKRI open access policy.
You must make your long-form output open access within 12 months of publication and use an open licence.
The final Version of Record or the Author’s Accepted Manuscript must be free to view and download via an online publication platform, publishers’ website, or institutional or subject repository within a maximum of 12 months of publication, with a Creative Commons CC-BY licence.
The open access version should include, where possible, any images, illustrations, tables and other supporting content. Where an Author’s Accepted Manuscript is deposited, it should be clear that this is not the final published version.
