EndNote

It is possible to sync desktop EndNote with an online version. This can allow you to use EndNote when you don't have access to the software, backs up your references and can allow you to share references with others.

• In desktop EndNote go to the Library menu at the top of the screen. You will need to set up an online account the first time you use it.

​If you already have references in one of your libraries it would be helpful to watch the tutorial video below first to make sure you don't get conflicts.

There is a completely free online version of EndNote which is not connected to the desktop. We would usually recommend using the desktop version which has better functionality. You will need to install the cite while you write function to link to your Word document. Choose the downloads button then choose install.
