We will be moving our Dawsonera e-books to another platform soon. You will need to export any notes or annotations you have made on Dawsonera e-books before the 31st July. If you added any books to “My bookshelf” don’t forget to make a list, in case you need them again. Any questions please ask your Subject Librarians.

Byddwn yn symud ein e-lyfrau Dawsonera i blatfform arall yn fuan. Bydd angen i chi allforio unrhyw nodiadau neu anodiadau rydych chi wedi'u gwneud ar e-lyfrau Dawsonera cyn 31ain o Orffennaf. Os gwnaethoch ychwanegu unrhyw lyfrau at “My bookshelf” peidiwch ag anghofio gwneud rhestr, rhag ofn y bydd eu hangen arnoch eto. Gofynnwch i'ch Llyfrgellwyr Pwnc am unrhyw gwestiynau.

We are trialling Box of Broadcasts aka BoB until the end of July. You can access BoB from the Online Library guide on the database tab or from iFind. BoB provides access to a range of radio and TV stations. You can record upcoming shows or search the archive of material. The best way to start is using the search function. This searches titles, metadata and transcripts. You can watch privately, use for teaching and create clips.

We also have access to Planet Estream which contains a TV & Radio Archive. You can access it from this link https://mrclabsestream.swan.ac.uk/  and you will need to click on Anonymous User and logout and then login with your normal login details. Click on the Create button and then the TV & Radio archive to explore the content. You can keyword search titles and transcripts where available. You will need to download content to the Swansea Planet eStream to play it.

Rydyn ni’n treialu Box of Broadcasts (BoB) tan ddiwedd mis Gorffennaf. Gallwch chi gyrchu BoB o’r Canllaw Llyfrgell Ar-lein ar y tab cronfa ddata neu drwy iFind. Mae BoB yn rhoi mynediad at ystod o orsafoedd radio a theledu. Gallwch chi recordio sioeau a fydd yn cael eu darlledu neu chwilio’r deunyddiau yn yr archifau. Y ffordd orau o ddechrau yw trwy ddefnyddio’r swyddogaeth chwilio. Mae hyn yn chwilio am deitlau, metaddata a thrawsgrifiadau. Gallwch chi wylio mewn preifat, ei ddefnyddio at ddibenion addysgu a chreu clipiau.

Mae hefyd gennym ni fynediad at Planet Estream sy’n cynnwys Archifau Teledu a Radio. Gallwch chi gyrchu hyn trwy ddilyn y ddolen hon https://mrclabsestream.swan.ac.uk/  a bydd angen i chi glicio ar ddefnyddiwr dienw a allgofnodi ac yna mewngofnodi gyda'ch manylion mewngofnodi arferol. Cliciwch ar y botwm ‘Create’ ac yna ar yr archif Teledu a Radio er mwyn archwilio’r cynnwys. Gallwch chi chwilio gan ddefnyddio geiriau allweddol mewn teitlau a thrawsgrifiadau lle bod modd. Bydd angen i chi lawrlwytho cynnwys i Planet Estream Abertawe er mwyn ei chwarae.

We have a trial for the Lean Library browser extension from Sage which will run from July 2020 to the end of September 2020.

Lean Library simplifies your access to our online scholarly content regardless of their location. When you go directly to publisher web sites, Lean Library cuts out the complication of finding out how to login and directs you straight to our login page to gain access to the resources.

Get started straightaway by downloading the Lean Library extension for your browser:
