What is Vancouver referencing?
Vancouver referencing is a style of referencing based on Citing Medicine, the official guide to Vancouver referencing.
How does the Vancouver style of referencing work?
Here are some points to remember:
- The Vancouver style is a numbered system.
- Each reference is given a number as it first appears in the text.
- The number given becomes the unique identifier for that reference.
- The reference number may be written in round brackets (1), square brackets [1] or superscript1.
- The cited references are listed at the end of the text and the references are listed numerically.
