SU Libraries wish you a merry Christmas and happy New Year.

We’d just like to make you aware of loan arrangements before you leave for the holidays.

  • If you have books or journals out on loan over the holiday period, they will continue to auto-renew and you don’t need to worry about them unless another library user requests them. Normal rules will apply to one-night loans. They will not auto-renew.

  • Please return any outstanding laptop loans promptly. These will not auto-renew and fines are £10.00 per day.

  • If another Library user requests an item you have out, you will receive an email to your student account to let you know. Please return it by the date in the email. If you have items on loan, don’t forget to check your account regularly.

  • Remember that overdue fines of £2.00 per day will be applied to recalled items not returned by the due date. If you have concerns about returning a recalled item on time, please let the ISS Customer Service team know right away. You can post books back to us, if necessary. Please look at the Library webpages for contact details and postal addresses.

Every little helps…

Good news! From 1st January 2020 we’re reducing the charge for reprinting ID/Library cards from £5.00 to £4.00. Students’ Union shared student concerns with us about anxiety caused by money worries and we agreed this is one way we could help a little.

If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with the ISS Customer Service Team. Have a very happy holiday!
