The reading list for your module is an essential source of revision material. You can find your module reading list by searching iFindReading or going to the reading list section of Canvas. 

Finding your books

The Library & Information Centre @ Singleton Park is on 4 floors and is divided into East and West wings. You enter the library on level 3 of the West Wing. Books are arranged on the library shelves according to subject. Every subject has its own call number, and the call number will be found on the spine of each book.

Book Locations in Singleton Park Library

The majority of books and journals used by Modern Languages, Translation and Interpreting Studies students are mainly at the classmark P on Level 1 West of Singleton Park Library.

Background reading on the History, Society, and Culture of France, Germany, Italy, and Spain & Latin America is located on Level 2 West at classmarks DC, DD, DG, and DP & F, respectively.

Science and technology dictionaries are at Q, R, and T, (i.e. computing terms at QA76.15, biological terms - QH, aeronautical engineering - TL509, medical terms - R121).

Legal dictionaries are at K120, in the Law Library, Level 4 East.

Reference books are often particularly useful when you are beginning to look for information on a topic.  The reading list below contains many reference works useful for Modern Languages, Translation Studies, and Interpreting Studies:
