South Wales Miners' Library Support Guide

Welcome to the South Wales Miners' Library Support Guide.

Researchers wishing to access our special collections can book 2.5hr sessions in our reading room.

The sessions will be:

10–12.30pm & 1.30–4pm Tuesday to Friday

Students and staff may come into the library to browse, photocopy, study and use a PC during opening hours, without appointments.

The Miners' Library

At the South Wales Miners’ Library we pride ourselves in providing a friendly, flexible and efficient library experience in a relaxed environment.

To support part-time, distance and students on placement we offer a range of services to make your lives easier, such as:

  • Requesting materials for collection at any of the University libraries
  • Advice and guidance on using the Library and our on-line resources
  • Answering queries by phone, email or in person
  • Help with assignment research and using IT
  • Quiet study areas
