Works within an Anthology

Below you will find guidance and examples of how to reference a work within an anthology in the body of your work and in the reference list at the end.

In text citation

A work within an anthology should be cited like a chapter in an edited book. The author of the work should be used for the in-text reference. You can use a combined date system where the first date is the original date and the second is the date of the anthology.

Example:
Wordsworth and Coleridge (1798/2012) state that...

OR

... (Wordsworth & Coleridge, 1798/2012).
