Below you will find guidance and examples of how to set out a reference to a book with three, four or five authors in the body of your work and in the reference list at the end.
If there are three, four or five authors of a work all authors should be cited the first time. Subsequently use et al. after the first author's name.
According to Phillips, Ajrouch and Hillcoat-Nalletamby (2010)....
...(Phillips, Ajrouch, & Hillcoat-Nalletamby, 2010).
Note: There is a comma after the second-to-last author.
According to Phillips et al. (2010)....
...(Phillips et al., 2010).
Last name, Initial(s)., & Last name, initial(s). (Year). Title. Place: Publisher.
